Each example follows the same structure so prospective partners can quickly understand the situation, the work, and the outcome.

Client Questions

What prospective partners usually want to know.

Clear expectations make for stronger engagements. Here are the questions we most often address before defining a project.

ScopeWhich challenges are a good fit for 812?

The strongest projects begin with an important decision that benefits from structured research and an outside perspective. We work best when a client can define the question, intended audience, and outcome—even if the path forward is still unclear.

TimingHow long does a typical engagement take?

Most engagements run for eight to twelve weeks within an academic semester. The exact schedule depends on scope, data availability, and the client’s decision timeline, and is agreed upon before the project begins.

InvestmentHow are project fees determined?

Fees vary with the project’s scope, timeline, and required team commitment. After an introductory conversation, we provide a written proposal that defines the work, deliverables, schedule, and investment before either side commits.

PartnershipWhat does 812 need from the client team?

Each engagement works best with one primary client contact, a focused kickoff, access to relevant information, and timely feedback at agreed checkpoints. We design the meeting cadence to respect the client team’s time.

ConfidentialityHow is sensitive information protected?

812 can execute confidentiality agreements or NDAs and limits project information to the assigned team and supervising club leadership. We do not publicly identify a client or share company-specific work without permission.

Next StepsWhat happens after we submit an inquiry?

Club leadership reviews the inquiry and follows up to discuss fit, timing, and the decision your organization needs to make. If there is a strong match, we refine the scope and send a written engagement proposal for review.
